I love that when I walk across campus, I'm able to see students that I know, that I know about their history, I know about their family, I know where they come from, and I know what they're being successful and what their challenges are. I think that that makes our institution something special.

The best thing about CCGA is that even though it is a small class size, you really get to know the students and people that you really probably wouldn't talk to in a bigger university. So you really get the feel of what it's like to be in a class and getting to know, getting to make new friends, getting to know people you don't know. And it's like you kind of get the college experience. You really get to know people that way.

And with the professors, you really get to know professors better, because you can actually have one-to-one conversations. And if you're wanting to do some sort of a research project, they are really hands-on. And so they want to be there to help you. They will give you all the resources that you need.

Faculty here have a primary responsibility in teaching. We're spending most of our time with students, working with students. And so whenever a student needs something, they know they can come to me. And I think that students recognize that. And I think that students do have a level of comfort with professors and understanding that their professors here are approachable, and they know that they are our priority.

The advantages of customizing your major is that in any career field that you want to get into specifically, in the Golden Isles, there's so many opportunities for you to use those skills that you learn, not even just from class, but also from outside activities, from clubs and organizations that you can get involved in. There's so many ways that you can use those and get into a specific career that you want to get involved in.
